Situation - Client requires a remote access solution that gives similar or better performance to Terminal Services with the flexibility to have different applications installed for each use.
Issues
The solutions should not require the users to set up a VPN connection on the remote computer, as some of the equipment used does not belong to the client.
Solution
Using a combination of Kaviza desktop virtualisation, VMWare, and Kaviza virtualised SSL appliance, all aspects of the customers specification were achieved.
Performance compared to Terminal services was outstanding, with the added flexibility of being able to have different applications for each user.
